The case report titled “Atypical presentation of bullous herpes zoster and necrotizing fasciitis in immunocompromised patients” published in Journal of Dermatology & Dermatologic Surgery, on pages 44-47, Issue 3, Volume 26, 2022,[1] is being retracted because it is a duplicate publication of another article titled “Atypical presentation of bullous herpes zoster and necrotizing fasciitis in immunocompromised patients: A report of two cases” published in Journal of Medical Case Reports and Case Series, on Volume 2, Issue 16, 2021.[2] It was brought to the attention of the journal's editorial board, by one of the authors, that the publication in Journal of Dermatology & Dermatologic Surgery in 2022, was a duplicate. Thus, the corresponding author as well as the journal's editorial office decided to retract the article.

Plagiarism, fabrication, unethical or redundant publication violates the editorial policy of Journal of Dermatology & Dermatologic Surgery, which follows best practice guidelines given by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) mentioned on the Information for Authors and as codified in the signed statements made by the authors regarding the copyright of their work.

This article has been retracted on request of the Authors and Editor-in-Chief of the journal.
